Learning about the activities of Bees Abroad
On 20th February, Bees Abroad held a meeting at the National Beekeeping Centre in Stoneleigh, for would-be project managers, to help them understand more about apiculture in developing countries. Amongst the participants were three bee inspectors, two lawyers and one farmer. John Home, Mary Home, Pam Gregory and Roy Dyche gave compelling talks about how Bees Abroad deliver projects to communities in Kenya, Uganda and Malawi. The group also tried their hands at the difficult jobs of reviewing project proposals and developing an implementation plan.
