Sinyati women's group make their first creams
Email received from Caroline of the Sinyati women's group - after Mary and John Home's visit in December 2010.
I would like to let you know that Sinyati women group is so grateful for the support we have received from Bees Abroad. We are very excited for the beehives, funds for the fence, skills on how to make the Amai-zing bee protective suits, the bee hives and recipes for making of creams, soap and polish.
I am so excited to inform you that we have done our first trial to make the basic cream using 1 measure of beeswax, 4 measures of vaseline and 4 measures of sunflower oil and lemon perfume. It turned out so well and we can not express the excitement! Attached please is a picture we captured. We will try the lip balm and the soap when we get to figure out how to measure the grams required.
