Collecting a honeybee swarm

Many people mistake wasp and bumble bee nests for honey bee swarms.  If in doubt it may be an idea to call us and let us know what you think you have.  We may be able to help you identify and solve the problem.  Bumble bee nests are becoming increasingly threatened and as such need as much help as honey bees.

A swarm of bees may look quite intimidating when you come across it, but it's something that bee keepers can help you with by collecting it.  If you find a swarm and need it removing then please call any of the HDBKA beekeepers shown below:
