New Member Application Form

a full subscription to the association gives you 3rd party insurance cover for claims relating to beekeeping and selling
hive products, irrespective of how many hives you have

this form is for new members; current members please use the renewal form

Single Full - £27.00

includes BBKA membership with 3rd party insurance for one person

Single Country -£14.00

for those without bees who want
BBKA membership but not 3rd party insurance

Full & Partner- £40.50

includes BBKA membership with 3rd party insurance for two people
at the same address, with one copy of BBKA news

Affiliate membership has been superceded by country membership

If your spouse is a full member, and you do not need insurance, then you do not need to be a member yourself, since our meetings are open to everyone.

Newsletter Delivery: We aim to produce a monthly newsletter, sent out by email. If you require a postal copy, please contact the treasurer.

Bee Disease Insurance

Full membership provides BDI cover for up to three hives in the event of a destruction order from a bee inspector, issued because of foulbrood. It does not provide cover if your bees die for any other reason.
If you have more than three hives, you should buy extra BDI cover

Gift Aid is tax relief on money donated to charities in the UK.
The Inland Revenue will treat donations to charities as if the donor has already had tax deducted at the basic rate.
The charity can then claim back this tax to increase the value of the donation.

You must pay an amount of UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that the association will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Please notify the treasurer if you:

Want to cancel this declaration.
Change your name or home address.
No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
