Feeding your bees

Feeding in the winter

1. Bees are vulnerable at this time of year
2. Make sure your bees don't run out of food
3. Provide fondant if you think they are short of stores
4. A small investment on fondant might turn out to have been invaluable

Training at the county apiary

Published May 20, 2009

Our apiary training sessions for 2012 will begin in May - dates and joining arrangements will be posted later.

We have two training apiaries - Brackenhurst in Southwell, and Woodthorpe Grange in Nottingham.  These are open to members of the association who can attend any session.  If you attend one of our classroom courses next year you are also welcome to attend our apiary sessions.

If you are not a member of the association or have not attend any of our classroom courses, but want to get some experience of live beekeeping, then you are welcome to attend the apiaries on certain dates.
