Our flourishing society supports beekeepers and those interested in beekeeping in our area. We are a friendly and active group of people who come from all walks of life and our members' ages range from early twenties to ............well, much older!  Some of us are complete beginners while others have a wealth of experience and we all enjoy the opportunity to share our knowledge about practical beekeeping and the production of high quality honey.

It's raining again!

Swarms etc

Very practical advice from Bernhard about queens, and a very important plea to the BBKA - about a problem all bee-keepers on the swarm list are being plagued with.  PLEASE NOTE THE CONCERN!

The NBU is warning of the risk for our bees, due to our wet weather.  If in doubt. bees should be fed with fondant or weak syrup. See link below.
