Smoker Fuel

What can you burn in your smoker?
1. Rotten wood – the best if you can find it, and if it is dry! Burns coolly and smells so sweet you’ll be sniffing it!
2. Cardboard – preferably corrugated, but this produces a lot of tar
3. Pine Cones – burn quite hot

More tips for Meetings

Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at Bradwall village hall (see FIND US)

The start time for meetings is normally 7:15pm for 7:30pm but apiary meetings (marked with *) usually start a slighly earlier time of 6:30pm, please bring protective clothing (i.e. veil etc.) for these.

Apiary demonstrations are for experienced beekeepers, there will be a beginners corner at each meeting doing more basic techniques. There is also an apiary meeting specifically for beginners on the third Thursday of each month during the summer, starting at 6.00 pm.
