Stroud Beekeepers' Association

Welcome to Stroud Beekeepers

Beekeeping can often be a solitary hobby. So Stroud Beekeepers' Association is a useful forum where members can share information, learn new information and improve their beekeeping skills.

In the winter we have meetings usually at St Dominic's School. In the summer our activities are centred at our Apiary in South Woodchester. Here we have several hives which are used for teaching and demonstration. Over the past few years we have run a queen rearing programme.

To encourage new beekeepers, the branch runs 'Introduction to Beekeeping' courses.

Joining Stroud Beekeepers' Association gives you:

  • Contact with other local beekeepers

  • Involvement in training activities run by the SBKA

  • Access to expert training and advice at the branch apiary

  • Free Insurance for up to three hives

  • Membership of Gloucestershire Beekeepers' Association (GBKA), which includes GBKA newsletter
