Apiary
The Branch Apiary is sited in the grounds of The Dartington Hall Estate, north of the medieval town of Totnes.
The Apiary is available in the spring for practical instruction for students on the winter beginners’ course. We also have members’ meetings with guest speakers giving practical demonstrations.
In the summer we hold an Open Day, when members of the public are welcome to “meet the bees” and hopefully go on to join the beekeeping course. At the Open Day we lift the lid on our hives so the wonder of the bees at work can be seen and all is explained by experienced Beekeepers. We have spare beekeeping veils for these occasions.
There is free parking at the apiary for members and visitors.
