•  Bees are to be exhibited in purpose-made observation hives. In a one day show nucleus box observation hives may be used. In a show extending more than one day bees must be able to fly at all times.

  • The exhibits must contain ample stores to last the duration of the show.

  • Exhibitors of observation hives must ensure that bees have a supply of water at all times.

  • Observation hives will be judged equally for education merit as well as their contents.

  • The Show Executive must ensure that either the Exhibitor or some other knowledgeable responsible person be in attendance at all times that the public are present.

  • Nucleus hives for competition should be prepared in accordance with BBKA Leaflet No. B14.

  • Exhibitors must ensure that all exhibit of live bees are healthy and free of notifiable diseases.
