Bees in Art & Technology 2018

Following on from last year’s success, this year we will be encouraging more people to enter, both from our membership and the general public who have an equal love of bees. As a contrast to our Shows at Chatsworth House and Country file Live, where the theme will be ‘Planting for Bees’, the theme for this year is ‘Bees in Art - Technology’. This has been inspired by Arnia’s hive monitoring technology which gives data on weight, flight, heat, movement and bee behaviour.

We are accepting submissions for three categories:

  • 12 and under
  • 12 to 16
  • 16 and above

The deadline for entries is 30th September and we have a guest judge this year who will helping to decide the winners who will each receive an exclusive dinner plate with their winning entry beautifully printed on to high quality ceramics.

Throughout November, 10 of the selected entries will be on view at The National Beekeeping Centre at Stoneleigh, but if you can’t get to us then we will also have a virtual gallery on our website. So, good luck everyone and we look forward to your entries.

Please send a scan or a photograph of your artwork/photograph to [email protected] by 24:00h on 30th September 2018.
