Owen Meyer, whilst General Secretary of the BBKA in the 1980s, produced acetate sheets showing the anatomy of the honey bee. BBKA has decided to reintroduce them.
The anatomy of the honey bee can only really be studied by looking at the bee. It is hard to understand exactly where the organs are, how they work and how they interrelate with each other simply by reading about it in a book. The illustrations here are in sectional form, in the same order as you would dissect a bee. So, as you progress with your dissection you can remove each sheet and look at the organs underneath.
