Learn more about bees and beekeeping in London from Barnaby and Sharon, when you Adopt a Beehive.
Barnaby is our heroic bearded (usually) beekeeper in London. He looks after honey bees in some great urban settings including the roof of the National Theatre, and you can find him in BeeUrban in Kennington Park where he runs workshops too.
Sharon was voted London Beekeeper of the Year last year and is a wonderful champion of the honey bee. You can meet her, and even come face to face with some of the honey bees, at the Stave Hill community apiary in Canary Wharf where she looks after the hives, and has recently helped to build a walk in bee observation hive.
You will receive a gift pack which includes ‘Pocket Guide to the Honey Bee’ – packed full of interesting information and honey bee facts, a jar of honey, a packet of wildflower seeds, postcards, Burts Bees lip balm and discount voucher. We will then send you a copy of Hive Talk our seasonal newsletter and an update from your Adopt a Beehive beekeeper throughout the year.
We’ll despatch your welcome gift box as soon as possible so that you can sit back and enjoy your Armchair Beekeeping with Adopt a Beehive.
