Learn more about bees and beekeeping in the North West from Caroline and Fred, when you Adopt a Beehive.
Fred is an experienced beekeeper, with thirteen hives divided between his garden apiary and a local nursing home where his bees have 19 acres to forage in. An active member of his local beekeeper association, he is also keen in testing out claims made by natural beekeepers by experimenting with a variety of different hives to see what works best.
Caroline caught the beekeeping bug in 2005 and has never looked back! Surrounded by farmland, her bees have a diverse range of crops to forage from dusk till dawn. Managing local beekeepers’ exams, testing out natural beekeeping methods, and updating her beehives, Caroline has her finger firmly on the pulse of the latest beekeeping trends.
