The 12th meeting of the IMYB took place in Slovenia from 3rd to 7th July 2023.

IMYB Training Day - 20th May 2023

The training day, organised by Simon Cavill, took place at the BBKA HQ at Stoneleigh Park on Saturday 20th May.  

IMYB Selection Day - 15th April 2023

The selection day, organised by Simon Cavill, took place at the BBKA HQ at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on Saturday 15th April.  There were 10 attendees ranging from 13 to 16 years old.  They came from all across the country and they were all really keen and knowledgeable. 

Following a presentation about the IMYB, each candidate took part in a series of written and practical exercises both individually and in a group.  It was really difficult to pick a top three as the organisers felt that all 10 attendees were really strong candidates.  However, the following were finally selected to represent the BBKA and English Beekeepers at the 2023 IMYB:

Joanna Oddie - 15 from West Yorkshire
Jacob Pons - 15 from Worcester
Cullen Brown - 16 from Near Norwich in Norfolk
