The annual pilgrimage to a dedicated Beekeepers’ Trade Show is as essential as it has always been.  And our lunchtime Hog Roast at the entrance is an extra temptation! In this post pandemic day and age, when the norm seems to be a stream of vans delivering your every need to your door, it seems impossible for a beekeeper not to reach the minimum free delivery target. However well that works for your known consumables with repeat orders of what you know you need, what about all those things you didn’t know you needed and that you wouldn’t be browsing a catalogue for! There really are enormous amounts of innovative and important developments covering all aspects of beekeeping and the exhibitors at Trade Shows are available and willing to help to explain all. This is also an opportunity to examine the qualities of ranges of similar products. Your local stockist is unlikely to offer such choice.

Successfully introduced last year, any large purchases made on the day can be collected from the rear of the Trade Halls by showing a special pass issued by the trader. You can also drive straight up to the busy outdoor ‘Pre-Orders Collection & Wax Exchange area’.   At the Convention a flyer showing up-to-date layouts of exhibitors in the two Trade Halls and in the two-day Not-for-Profit Exhibition will be available. This will also timetable the speakers and their topics at Speakers Corner - in its improved situation in the main Students’ Union Hall.
