Latest Our Events Member Events BBKA Zoom Talks The BBKA are putting on a series of Zoom talks for beekeepers which will also be streamed to YouTube for those unable to watch live. Next Talk: Beekeepers' Question Time: Tuesday 17th September 2024 at 7pm This is your chance to put questions to expert beekeepers who can help you work through the knottiest problems! Our experts: Pete Sutcliffe Pete Sutcliffe has been keeping bees for over thirty years now, having started out with two home-made WBCs inherited from his father. He now works in a beekeeping team with his wife: together they keep an average of 20 colonies on various sites in the Dane Valley in Cheshire. Enid Brown Enid has been keeping bees for 30 years following in the footsteps of her Grandfather and Father. She presently runs just over 40 colonies with about 10 of them permanently on a heather site. She is president of two local associations and Publicity & Shows Officer for the Scottish Beekeepers so beekeeping seems like a full time hobby. Dave Bonner Dave has been keeping bees since 2005 and is a Master Beekeeper. He has been a Bee Inspector and now focusses on keeping colonies well for honey production and supporting beekeepers in the Coventry area. Margaret Murdin Margaret has been keeping bees for many years and is a practical beekeeper who learnt her skills as a member of the Ormskirk and Croston Branch of the Lancashire Association. She currently has 20 colonies across 3 apiaries and is interested in the bees themselves rather than the production of honey. Margaret is a Master Beekeeper and Past President of BBKA.
